Ruben is a well-established Disability Equality Trainer with over 16 years lived experience as a disabled man. He has developed a vast knowledge base surrounding the issues faced by the disabled community and uses this, coupled with his personal experience, to help develop and deliver bespoke training packages. Ruben has previously trained multiple large organisations, such as; Uber, London Underground and C2C, to name a few!
More recently, Ruben has begun Access Auditing, providing assessments and reports to help businesses establish how well they have made reasonable adjustments for people with different impairment needs and what more they can do to help remove the barriers presented by different premises in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Additionally, Ruben is a strong advocate for the rights of the disabled community and has written articles surrounding their barriers and frustrations for multiple magazines; Able, Step Forward & Disabled Motoring. As well as taking time to fundraise for different organisations like the Limbless Association.
He is also an experienced actor & model, having done work on TV shows; Doctors and His Dark Materials. As well as starring in health campaigns for the NHS and inclusive transport advertisements for GT Rail and Balfour Beatty, among other things. Using my first hand experience to bring diversity to the screen and campaign for more inclusion for other artists.
Sabine is a Qualified State Registered Occupational Therapist with in excess of 20 years experience, expertise in all areas of moving and handling of people, major adaptations, vocational rehabilitation, treatment and rehabilitation for complex neurological conditions. She has successfully completed assignments in Germany and the UK and also has extensive experience leading large council departments through change. She has created discharge to assess services for a London council and worked with them to create flexible and pro active front door services (OT), led on strength based assessments. She has also led on a strengthened relationship with Continuing Healthcare colleagues as well as keeping up a positive dialogue with stakeholders. For TrainAbility, she leads on consultancy for major adaptation works and major equipment provision (privately or local authority funded). We do offer personalised services and strive to help customers with very individual advice, beyond local authority funding, giving customers a personalised and bespoke solution to suit their individual needs.
Sabine is also an experienced performance manager within Social Care and Health (HCPC registered Occupational Therapist), proven track record of departmental improvements in the following areas: Implementation of Discharge to Assess Services for all hospital discharges in Enfield, Strength based approach implementation/creation of Single Point of Access in October 2019, Increase of case throughput/case quality OT staff, budgetary savings care purchasing budget/equipment spent and efficiency savings, Currently in Service Management post overseeing several operational adult social care departments.
She has founded an OT Service that offers Local Authorities outsourcing opportunities for OT assessments and community care assessments as well as carers services. This includes consultancy for major adaptation works and major equipment provision (privately or local authority funded). TrainAbility do offer personalised services and have worked for Surrey County Council, eliminating a waiting list of 800+ OT cases in only 3 months time. We strive to help customers with very individual advice, beyond local authority funding, giving customers a personalised and bespoke solution to their problem. We have now also introduced free OT consultancy evenings in Thurrock to help clients that are unable to access council OT services due to long waiting lists.
Justin has over 25 years of financial services management and training experience. He has led teams of sales and service professionals by providing sales tools, marketing, and training focused on establishing and developing customer relationships. He has received an MBA in Business Management and an MA in Professional Writing from San Diego State University.
Justin has extensive knowledge in the political and social context of LGBTQ issues and inclusion in the workplace. He has personally spearheaded and led two separate corporate LGBTQ Employee Resource Groups (ERG), to include leadership and policy development, employee recruiting, communications, and training. Justin has shared his personal insights and experience at the Out & Equal Workplace Summit’s Leadership Seminar over several years by creating and delivering leadership seminars focused on training new and growing ERG leaders from all over the world and several different industries.
Justin loves to tell stories. Whether it is a blog, website, video, training course, or presentation, he has always enjoyed the art of sharing experiences in an engaging and dynamic way. Though his experience shows a long history of work in the financial services industry, he has spent most of my career writing and helping individuals and teams improve their communications and build their skills to better serve customers. The variety of businesses and entrepreneurial stories he has discovered are amazing and inspiring.
